1. Why should I hire my entertainment through Pure Entertainment?

Pure Entertainment offers you the unique opportunity to browse our online catalog of entertainers to see, hear and read about each entertainer you are interested in. In doing this we help you to make an informed choice as to which entertainer you think is best for your event. We want you to be able to make that choice yourself - not to have to rely on the choice of an agent

All of our entertainers are carefully chosen for their professionalism, the high quality of their work and their proven reliability. These are not things you can always be assured of when booking acts who advertise independantly on the internet or elsewhere.

In allowing you the ability to go through the entire booking process online we are in a position to make significant savings over the traditional agency which does most of its work over the phone. We pass that saving directly onto you - the customer.

In the unlikely event of an act being unable to perform due to unforseen circumstances we will do all in our power to find a replacement as close to the act originally booked as possible

Looking to book an act independently may mean long hours searching for the entertainer you want. Add on to that the time and expense of going to see or hear acts only possibly to find that they are not what you were looking for. We only book highly reliable acts with a proven record of successfully entertaining audiences. We can save you time finding your act and put your mind at ease knowing that you have chosen a professional entertainer who will not disappoint on the day.

2. What is the procedure for booking?

The following simple steps are required for booking:

Browse our catalog of entertainers and choose an act that you are interested in booking. If you do not find an act you are interested in then we may still be able to source the entertainment you require - just procede to the next step.

Go through the simple procedure of setting up an account. In doing this you will be able to enter your contact details, details of your event and details of the act(s) you are interested in.

Note: We will never allow your contact details to be used for any purpose other than to contact you with relation to your booking without your prior permission.

If you decide to leave the site and come back later these details will be saved and you will not need to re-enter them.

We will contact the entertainer(s) you are interested in and get back to you to confirm their availability. If you wish to go ahead with the booking and secure the bands availablility we will take a credit card deposit and your booking is secure. If you wish to see the band play live before your event we will arrange with the band for you to be able to do that. Should you decide to cancel your booking within the terms of the booking [ see terms ] - your deposit will be refunded in full.

3. What type of band or DJ should I hire for my event?

There are a great many types of music to choose from when choosing an entertainer and a great number of DJs each playing their own special style.

  • Traditional Cover Band.
  • Latin.
  • Jazz.
  • Blues.
  • Ceili/Traditional Irish.
  • Rock.

4. What should I do if I cant find the entertainer I am looking for in your online catalog?

As outlined in the booking procedure, simply enter details of the type of act(s) you are looking for and we will use our own contacts in the entertainment industry to help you to source an entertainer fitting your requirements.

5. How far ahead of my event do you recommend I start looking for an act?

Generally the bigger acts are quite heavily booked so we recommend you look for an act at least 3 to 6 months in advance of your event. It is not uncommon for people to book acts a year in advance particularly for an event such as a wedding

6. Can I register my entertainment act with Pure Entertainment?

All our acts are strictly vetted on the basis of past performance but we are always looking to consider the addition of new acts to our catalog. Please contact us directly by phone or email and we will discuss having you added to our database. You will need to send us a press kit including a bio, pictures, audio and video if possible. We will also require a reference from one of your recent clients

7. What details do you recommend that I verify with the act once I have made a booking.

This is a list of some of the more important details you should verify with the act you have booked. It is always advisable to ensure that important details are verified in writing to avoid disputes. Such details include.

  • The exact date, time and location at which the act is to perform
  • The duration for which the act is to perform
  • The precise nature of entertainment that the act is expected to perform (eg dance music, background music or other musical genres)
  • Any possible delays which may come up. For example weddings are generally difficult to schedule precisely so all parties should be made aware of possible delays
  • Who will be providing sound equipment/PA, microphones etc. Venues sometimes have a simple PA system but it may not be adequate for a band/dj to perform with.
